Wipro Technologies Ltd. sits right in BTM Layout, specifically on 2nd Cross and 5th Main. If you’ve spent any time in this part of Bangalore, you know it’s packed with people and small shops. Our office is tucked in there among all the PG buildings and eateries. It gets pretty loud outside during lunch hours when everyone comes out to grab a bite. The building itself is okay, nothing too special to look at, but it serves the purpose. We spend most of our time staring at screens and talking through various technical issues that pop up. There’s always someone coming or going since the shifts can be a bit all over the place. We don’t have a massive lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and get to your desk. Most of the staff here live nearby, so we talk about the local traffic or the new places opening up on the main road. Sometimes the rain makes the street a mess, and we all complain about it while drinking chai. It’s a straightforward setup. We have our computers, some old files, and enough chairs for everyone. We don’t go in for those big corporate speeches. We just focus on the work assigned for the day. It’s a busy spot in a busy neighborhood, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place over the years.
