You can find Design Apparels Bangalore Pvt. Ltd. at No. 184/4 in the T. Govindappa Complex. We are right on the Whitefield Road, near the B. Narayanapura area, not far from the Dooravaninagar post office. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of traffic passing by our doors every single minute. Inside the complex, it’s a bit different. We have rows of sewing machines and large tables where the fabric gets laid out for cutting. It’s always humming with the sound of motors and people calling out to each other over the noise. We have a lot of people working here, mostly from the local neighborhood, so there is always some chatting and laughing going on while we work. The lights are bright and the air is filled with little bits of lint from the cloth. We don't have a fancy showroom or a big lobby with leather chairs. It’s a factory floor, plain and simple. We spend our days making sure the seams are straight and the buttons are on tight. Sometimes a shipment is late or a machine breaks down, and we all have to scramble to fix it. That's just part of the garment business. We’ve been at the Govindappa Complex for a while and we’ve seen the Whitefield Road change a lot, but our daily routine inside stays pretty much the same.
