Down at 40 Ground Floor, near the Ayyappa Temple, things are usually moving. Whitefield Agrotech (P) Ltd. is located right there in Manorayana Palya. It’s 2nd Cross, Sultanpalya Main Road, and if you know the Madivala area, you know it’s crowded. Our office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to drop off samples or pick up papers. We deal with agricultural stuff, so there’s often a faint smell of earth or dried plants around. The temple nearby means we hear bells and music at certain times of the day, which is nice. We have a few desks squeezed into the space and a lot of filing cabinets. It’s not a modern glass office. We use old fans and have a small stove for making tea. Most of our work involves talking to farmers or suppliers over the phone. We spend time looking at crop reports and distribution lists. The traffic outside on Sultanpalya Main Road is constant. Sometimes we have to step outside just to get a bit of quiet. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything. People find us because they need what we have. It’s a local business, run by local people who understand the soil. We just show up, do the work, and go home. It has been like this for a long while and we like the routine.
