We set up Webcrea at No. 98 in Annappa Reddy Layout. Ramamurthy Nagar is a nice enough area, though the traffic on the main roads can be a headache sometimes during the rush hour. We are mostly just a small group of people who spend too much time looking at computer screens and typing away at keyboards. It started out very small and has stayed that way, which actually suits us just fine. We do web stuff, obviously, but it’s not like those big glass buildings you see in the city center. Our place is more like a regular house that we converted into an office. There is always someone in the kitchen making coffee and there's usually a stray cat hanging around the front porch waiting for a snack. We don’t have those fancy meetings with slides and ties. Mostly we just sit around a big wooden table and figure out how to make a website work properly without everything breaking at once. It gets frustrating when the internet acts up or when a piece of code just won't behave, but that's just part of the daily job. Most of our neighbors are families with kids, so it’s actually pretty quiet during the day except for the occasional delivery bike zooming past the gate. We really like the local feel of being in a residential layout. It’s not a high-pressure environment like the big tech parks. We just get the work done, chat about what we did over the weekend, and head out when the day is finished. It is a decent way to make a living in this part of Bangalore.
