Wawanna Hardware

Wawanna Hardware has been sitting here at number 279 on 27th Cross in Jayanagar for quite some time. We are tucked away in the 3rd Block, which is a busy part of the area. The shop is filled with all sorts of bits and pieces, from boxes of nails to stacks of heavy tools. It looks a bit messy to someone walking in for the first time, but we usually know exactly where everything is kept. There are shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, so we have to use an old wooden ladder whenever someone needs something from the top. The floor is mostly worn out from people walking in and out all day. We get a lot of locals who live nearby stopping in because they need a specific screw or a replacement part for something that broke at home. It is not the kind of place where you will find fancy displays. We prefer just keeping things practical and within reach. Sometimes it gets a bit dark in the back of the shop if the overhead light flickers, but we manage just fine. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors and regular customers who just come by to see what is new. The street outside is usually lined with parked scooters, making it a bit tight to get through. We just open up the shutters every morning and see what the day brings. It is a good spot to be.
