Murugan Hardware

Murugan Hardware is located on 1st Cross in Kasturibai Nagar. If you walk down the street, you can’t miss us because of all the pipes and buckets sitting out front. We sell everything from nails and screws to heavy tools and paint. The shop is pretty packed, and sometimes you have to squeeze past a ladder or a bag of cement to get to the counter. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone walking in for the first time. We’ve been serving the folks in Kasturibai Nagar for a long time now. People come in when a pipe leaks or they need to fix a door hinge. We don't have a computer system for our inventory; we just know what’s in stock by looking at the shelves. It’s a dusty place, mostly because of the construction materials we keep. We talk to contractors and homeowners all day. Sometimes we give advice on which drill bit works best for a certain wall, but mostly we just sell the stuff. It’s a simple business. We open early so workers can get what they need before they start their day. It’s loud and busy, and there’s always someone asking for a specific type of bolt we haven't seen in years. We just keep at it. There is a heavy fan on the ceiling.
