Kingfisher

You can find us over at Tc 26/1596 on Press Road in Trivandrum. We are right near Hotel Poorna in the Statue area, which is pretty much the center of the city. Our business is called Kingfisher, and we’ve been operating out of this small office for many years. It’s a very busy spot. There are always protests or parades going on at the Statue junction, so it can be quite noisy. Our office is just a simple room with some old desks and a few chairs for people to wait. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that stay on all day to keep the heat away. We do a bit of everything here, mostly helping people with their travel plans or paperwork. It’s not a polished corporate environment. The walls have some marks on them and the floor is a bit worn down from all the people walking in and out. We know all the other shopkeepers on Press Road and we often spend our breaks chatting with them. It’s a very tight-knit local community. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and start our work. If someone needs help with a booking, we do our best to find them a good option. That’s about all there is to it. It’s a regular, everyday local business.
