Waiting For Job

Over here at Waiting For Job, we operate out of Shujah Manzil in Agastiya Code. This is in the Anchal area of Kollam, down in Kerala. It’s a quiet place, surrounded by a lot of greenery as you’d expect in this part of India. The address is basically a house where we do our business. It’s not a big corporate center with glass and steel. We have a few rooms where we keep our files and computers. The humidity can be a bit much sometimes, so we keep the fans going at full speed all day. We spend our days looking through listings and talking to people who are looking for work. It’s a slow process sometimes, and there are days when the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait for it to come back on. We know almost everyone in the Agastiya Code area. It’s the kind of place where you stop to talk to your neighbor for ten minutes before getting to work. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most people find out about us through word of mouth. We just try to be helpful to anyone who walks through the door at Shujah Manzil. The house itself is old but sturdy. We like being in Kollam because it’s home. We don’t have any big slogans. We just open up in the morning, do what we can, and close up in the evening when the light fades. It's just what we do here.
