Vrl Travels has its local office over at C.K. Dixit Kustagi Chawl. This is in Betegeri, which is part of Gadag. It’s not a high-rise building or anything like that. It’s a simple spot in the chawl where we keep the records and talk to the passengers. Gadag is a place where things move a bit slower than the big cities, but it’s still busy in its own way. We have buses coming and going, and there’s always a bit of dust in the air from the road. C.K. Dixit is usually around to see how things are moving. The chawl has a lot of history and it’s a tight-knit community. People stop by to book tickets or just to ask about the bus timings to the next town. We don't have a fancy waiting room with air conditioning. It’s just a couple of benches and a desk. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Most of our day is spent handling the logistics of the travels. We make sure the drivers have what they need and the luggage is sorted. It’s practical work. We don't use big words or fancy brochures. People know us by word of mouth in Betegeri. It’s a modest setup, but it works for what we need. When the sun goes down, it gets a bit quieter, and we wrap up the day’s paperwork before heading home to rest. That is our regular routine.
