Voltas Ltd.

We are over at No. 37, Kasturba Road. Most people know the Voltas Ltd. name because of air conditioners or water coolers, and that’s pretty much what we deal with day in and day out. This office is where a lot of the coordination happens. It’s an old-school kind of building in a busy part of town. The traffic on Kasturba Road can be a nightmare during rush hour, but once you’re inside, it’s mostly just phones ringing and people talking about service schedules or installation orders. I wouldn’t call it a glamorous place. It’s functional. We have desks piled with paperwork and technicians coming in and out to get their assignments. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about their cooling needs or fixing something that stopped working in the heat. It gets busy, especially when summer hits and everyone realizes their AC needs a checkup. We don’t have any fancy speeches about what we do. We just make sure the machines are working so people can stay cool. The team here has been around for years, so we know the local area quite well. It’s a job that keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the systems are tricky, and sometimes it's a simple fix. We just take it as it comes. It is a straightforward operation here at the Kasturba Road branch. Just a group of people working to keep things running for everyone.
