Our place is over at Shree Ashirwad in the Sweet Home Layout, which is part of Maylsandra. Bangalore has expanded so much that we’re quite busy out here now. Emas Engineers & Contractors Pvt.Ltd is basically a group of us who enjoy the building process. The morning commute through the Srinivaspura area can be a real headache, so we usually try to get to the site early before the roads clog up. We do a lot of work with foundations and structural steel. It’s honest work that leaves you tired by the end of the day. The office in Maylsandra is where we keep all the records and try to stay organized, though there are always stacks of papers everywhere. We hire local laborers and try to keep the same guys on for different jobs because they know how we like things done. Sometimes the Bangalore weather ruins a day of pouring concrete, and we just have to sit under a tarp and wait for it to clear. We don't spend money on big ads. Most people find us because they saw one of our sites or a friend told them we were decent people to work with. It’s just about showing up every day and making sure the work is done properly. We’ve learned to be patient with the city's pace and the way things move slowly sometimes. We are just local folks trying to build things that will last a long time.
