About Vinayaka Laser Engraving & Cutting – Gifts in Bengaluru
If you head down to Laxmi Nagar in Kirloskar Nagar, you’ll find us at number 71 on the 1st Main. It’s right there at the 2nd Cross in Basavanagar. The shop is usually pretty loud because the machines are almost always running. Laser cutting creates a lot of fine dust and a specific smell of burnt material, so we keep the exhaust fans going all day. It’s not a clean or fancy environment. We’ve got metal scraps and wooden offcuts piled in the corners. My hands are usually a bit dirty from handling the materials. We do a lot of small jobs for people in the neighborhood and some bigger ones for shops further away. The power goes out sometimes, which is a real pain when you’re in the middle of a delicate engraving job, but we just wait for the generator to kick in. The space is a bit dark because we had to block out some of the windows for the equipment layout. We’ve been here for a few years now. It’s a lot of repetitive work, watching the laser move back and forth across a sheet of plastic or steel. Sometimes people come in with really strange requests and we have to figure out if the machine can even do it. We don't have a sales team. If you come by, you’ll just talk to whoever isn't currently operating the cutter at that moment.
