New L. M. Silk

Our place is at No. 371/89 in M. C. Layout. If you are trying to find us you have to navigate through Fiftheenth Main and Eighteenth Cross in Vijaya Nagar. It is a bit of a maze back here if you aren't from the area. New L. M. Silk is basically just a quiet shop where we keep a lot of stock piled up on the shelves. The silk fabrics are heavy and we spend a lot of time folding and unfolding them for whoever comes in. The floor is made of old tile that has a few cracks in the corner near the storage room. We have a ceiling fan that wobbles a little when it is on the high setting but it keeps the air moving. Most days it is just two or three of us here handling the phone calls and checking the inventory lists. We get a lot of light through the front door in the mornings which is nice for seeing the actual colors of the fabric. Sometimes the tea lady from down the street brings us snacks in the afternoon. We don't have a big website or a social media person. We just write everything down in a big ledger book we keep on the main desk. It's an old-fashioned way of doing things but it works for us and we haven't seen a reason to change it yet. We just keep things simple and steady every day.
