Vijay Novelties is at Door No 552/A on the 50 Feet Main Road in Hanumanth Nagar. We are right opposite the Kumaraswamy Temple Bus Stop, which is a very busy area. People are always waiting for the bus or visiting the temple, so there is a lot of foot traffic past our door. It’s a lively place to be. We have been here in Koliwada for a good while. The shop is filled with all kinds of small things and novelties. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations; we just put the stock on the shelves where people can find it. The 50 Feet Main Road is always moving with cars and bikes. On festival days, the area around the temple gets especially packed, and it can be quite a struggle just to get through the front door. We like the energy of it, though. Most of our day is spent helping customers who pop in while they're waiting for their bus. It’s a simple business. We don’t have any big corporate plans; we just want to keep the shop running and serve the folks in Hanumanth Nagar. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the traffic, but we just sweep it out and keep going. It’s a local shop for local people, and that’s how we like it.
