Vignesh Adds

Vignesh Adds is on the first floor of the building in Wadi Rangmahal, which is over in Vishveshwaraiah Puram. We are right next to the Arya Samaj, so it is a landmark that most people in the area recognize easily. Our workshop is usually full of the smell of vinyl and the sound of printers or cutting tools. Since we are on the first floor, we have to carry materials up the stairs, which can be a bit of a task when we have large boards or heavy rolls of paper. It is a working space, so there are scraps of offcuts on the floor and sketches pinned to the walls. We do a lot of signs and advertising materials for local shops around the city. It is not a very formal environment; we often have tea while we talk over a design or figure out the best way to print a banner. The windows look out over the street, so we see the daily life of V.V. Puram passing by. We have a few computers for the layout work and a big table where we assemble everything. It is a bit messy sometimes, but that is just how it goes when you are making things by hand. People stop by to pick up their orders or just to see how a project is coming along. It is a practical business where we just focus on getting the work out the door.
