This office is right on the Sion Bandra Link Road. If you know where New Shanti Sagar is, we are just across from there in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. It’s a busy spot in the chawl area. We spend most of our time looking at plots and talking to folks about where they want to live. It's a lot of paperwork and meeting people for tea. My uncle started this and now I help out with the property details. It’s not a big fancy developer office with glass walls. We have a small room with a fan and lots of files on the shelves. People stop by when they’re walking past the chawl. We know this area between Sion and Bandra like the back of our hand. Real estate here is always changing, so there's always something to discuss. Sometimes it's noisy because of the traffic outside but we get our work done. We deal with buying and selling mostly. Sometimes rentals. It’s a lot of talking to owners and checking the land records. We don't do big advertisements. Most people hear about us from their neighbors. It’s just how things work around here. We stay open until late evening usually. It's a simple setup but it works for us and the people who come to see us. My desk is always covered in maps and old contracts. We just try to keep things moving along for everyone.
