We are Vernekar Associates Pvt. Ltd., and we are located at 56, on the second floor, right on the road near Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital in Bangalore. It’s a very central part of the 560001 area, so it’s always busy with people and traffic outside. We have been in this building for quite a while, and we’re pretty used to the noise from the hospital road by now. Our office is on the second floor, and that’s where most of the work happens, from drawing up initial plans to finishing off the technical details. We aren't the type of firm that uses a lot of corporate jargon or fancy slogans. Our focus is on the architecture and making sure we are doing a good job for the people who hire us. The office is usually filled with rolls of blueprints and different samples of materials we’re considering. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. We spend a lot of our time just sitting together and figuring out how to solve specific design problems. Sometimes the days get long, but that is just how it is when you have a lot of projects on the go. We like being in this part of Bangalore because everything is close by. It’s a simple setup, and we take things one day at a time, looking at the drawings and the actual construction requirements without any unnecessary fuss or polished sales pitches.
