Venkatesh Advocate

My practice is based in Devanahalli, right in the Durga Punyai Cetan Building. It’s a solid old building that everyone around here seems to know. Being an advocate means I spend a lot of time buried in books and files, and this office provides the space I need for that. It’s not a modern glass-and-steel setup; it feels more like a traditional office where work actually happens. The rooms are a bit high-ceilinged and keep fairly cool even when the sun is beating down on Devanahalli. I have a few benches for people to sit on while they wait to talk to me. Most of the people who come by are from the local area, so we often end up talking about the local news before getting into the legal stuff. The Durga Punyai Cetan Building has its own character, with narrow stairs and a bit of an echo. I’ve been here long enough that the walls feel familiar, and I know exactly where every file is located, even if the piles look a bit messy to an outsider. It’s a busy life, and there’s always something new to learn or a different way to look at a case. I just try to take it day by day and make sure I’m being as thorough as I can be with the work on my desk. There's always a lot to do, but that is the nature of this job.
