If you go to Mathikere, you might find Advocate A.C. D'Souza M.A.L.L.B. The office is at number 28, right opposite the Fine Arts Society. It’s a fairly quiet spot compared to the busier parts of the city. The office itself is filled with law books and old files, exactly what you would expect from someone who has been practicing for years. There is a certain smell to the place—paper and ink and maybe a bit of dust. People come in with all sorts of legal problems, and we just sit down and listen to them. It’s not like the legal dramas you see on television. It’s mostly just a lot of reading, writing, and making sure all the court dates are noted down correctly. Being opposite the Fine Arts Society is a good way to give people directions. The neighborhood has a nice feel to it, and we know many of the people who live and work around here. We don’t have a big staff, so it’s a more personal way of doing things. Sometimes it’s just the advocate and a few assistants handling everything. We don't use much of that complicated legal talk when we’re just chatting. We try to keep things simple and clear for everyone who visits. It is a humble office, but it serves the purpose. We spend our days preparing documents and heading out to the courts when needed. It’s just a regular, honest legal practice.
