Venkatarama Reddy K is based at 58 Killari Road. If you've ever been to Killari Road, you know it's one of those narrow streets where everyone is squeezed together. It’s right in the heart of the old city market area. Our place is a small shopfront that’s been here for years. There’s no room for big signs or flashy lights. We just have the name and the door. All day long, you hear the sounds of carts being pushed and people bargaining right outside. It’s very loud and very busy. Inside, it’s a bit quieter but still feels like the rest of the street. We have some wooden cabinets that are probably older than I am, filled with ledgers and old records. The light isn't very good, so we have to use a desk lamp even during the day. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff. We just talk to the people who walk through the door. Most of our day is spent dealing with the small details of the business. We take a break in the afternoon when the sun is at its peak and the street slows down just a tiny bit. We’ve grown used to the chaos of Killari Road. It’s just our daily life, sitting at number 58 and handling whatever comes our way. It’s not a polished business, just us working in a crowded corner of the city. We keep a pot of water in the corner for anyone who gets thirsty.
