My place is located at 231 Ananda Rao Circle, specifically on the third floor of the Supar Market premises in Lakshmi Nivas. It’s right near the Ganesha Temple, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find me. Being up on the third floor means I get a bit of a break from the noise of the market downstairs, but you can still hear the bells and the traffic. I spend my days here handling various business tasks and meeting with people from the neighborhood. It’s a small office, mostly filled with papers and a few old chairs. I’ve been in this spot for years, and I’ve seen the area change quite a bit. The stairs can be a bit of a climb for some, but I don’t mind it. Most of my day is spent on the phone or writing things down in my ledgers. It’s a quiet way to make a living, and I like the independence of it. I don’t use any fancy technology or have a big team behind me. It’s just me doing what I know how to do. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons, so I just take a walk down to the temple or grab a snack from the vendors in the market. It’s a very local way of doing things, and that suits me just fine. I’ve lived around here most of my life, so I know most of the faces I see every day.
