Vci Hospitality is located over at 3610, 69th Cross in the Hand area of Bangalore. We’ve been around this part of Karnataka for a while, and the neighborhood has changed quite a bit since we started. Most of what we do involves looking after people and making sure their stays or events go okay. It’s a lot of coordination between different departments, and sometimes the communication isn't perfect, but we always manage to get through the day. The building we’re in is pretty easy to find once you get onto the 69th Cross. We have a small office staff who handle all the bookings and the back-end stuff. It can get pretty noisy during peak season when everyone is calling at once. We don’t use fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still done with good old-fashioned notebooks and checklists. Hospitality is a tough business because people have different expectations, but we just try to be helpful and practical. You might see some of us running around between the office and the properties we manage. We don’t put on airs or pretend to be something we’re not. We’re just a local business trying to make sure people have a decent place to be. It’s a lot of long hours and sometimes we forget to take lunch, but that's just part of the job in Bangalore. We’ve built up some good relationships with folks around here over the years.
