Our office is on the first floor of the Mathrushree building at No 420. We are tucked away in 4th A Cross, which is part of the HRBR Kalyan Nagar 2nd Block area. It is a decent neighborhood, mostly quiet compared to the main roads. We deal with gypsum products, so there is often a bit of white dust on the samples we keep around the room. The office is not very large, but we have enough room for the desks and the files we need to keep. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking on where the shipments are. People usually come in to look at the different boards and see what works for their ceilings or walls. It is a lot of paperwork sometimes, keeping track of all the square footage for different orders. We have a small kettle in the corner for making coffee when it gets late. Most of the people who drop by are interior decorators or guys doing home renovations in the north part of the city. We do not really do much advertising; people just seem to find us or hear about us from someone else. It is a standard office routine for us. We show up, handle the orders, and make sure the logistics are moving along. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, but we manage just fine with the daily foot traffic.
