Even though the name says Bangalore, this specific branch of Saint Gobain Gyproc India Ltd. is actually located in a place called Yellur, which is in the Belgaum district. We are right on Pratap Galli. It’s a much more rural or small-town feel compared to the big cities. The office is a simple building on a narrow street, or "galli" as we call it. We handle a lot of the gypsum distribution for this part of the state. It’s pretty quiet here most of the time, except for when a tractor or a truck passes by the window. The office interior is just the basics—some wooden desks, a few chairs for visitors, and a lot of paperwork related to the Belgaum region. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know the local area and the builders around here. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a very relaxed way of doing business compared to the metro offices. We make sure the gypsum gets to where it’s going, mostly to new homes being built nearby. There’s a small tea shop just down the lane where we go twice a day. It’s not a polished place, but we get the job done and everyone knows who we are. It’s just how things go here in Yellur. The walls are a bit dusty from the road outside, but we try to keep the desks clean at least.
