Our place is located at number 26 in the B K Abbaiya Layout, on the 3rd Cross in Kagdaspura. It’s just off Mahadevpura Road here in Bangalore. We are Vanguard Technologies. Even though the name sounds a bit official, we are actually a pretty small and quiet group. We work on various technology projects and software. Our office isn't one of those big glass towers you see in the tech parks. It’s a simple building where we have our computers and a few whiteboards for sketching out ideas. We spend most of our time coding or trying to figure out why a piece of software isn't behaving. It’s a lot of quiet work, punctuated by the occasional loud discussion when something breaks. We don’t have bean bags or a fancy cafeteria. We usually just bring our own lunch or go find something on the main road. The walk to the office can be a bit dusty, especially with all the construction that always seems to be happening in Bangalore. We started this because we like the technical side of things. We aren't much for marketing or big speeches. We just want to build stuff that works. It’s a straightforward life. We show up, we do our work, and we go home. We like being in Kagdaspura because it’s a bit more peaceful than the rest of the city. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand. It is what it is.
