Down here by Hesaraghatta Lake, things are usually pretty peaceful. We are tucked away in the I I H R Colony area of Bangalore. Most people know the lake post office, and we aren't far from there. Being out here in Bangalore 89 feels like a different world compared to the traffic in the city center. We spend a lot of time talking to people about where they want to go for their holidays. It's mostly just us sitting at the desks, answering the phone, and looking through brochures or websites. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space with some maps on the walls and a few old chairs for visitors. Sometimes the monkeys from the trees nearby make a bit of noise on the roof, but you get used to that after a while. We started this because we liked the idea of helping folks get away for a bit. There’s no big secret to how we run things. We just show up in the morning, make some tea, and start looking at travel dates. The lake is a nice view when we take a break in the afternoon. It’s a steady job and we like the people who live around the colony. They stop by just to say hello sometimes, even if they aren't planning a trip right then. It is a quiet corner of the world and that suits us just fine.
