Vaayu, Sky Lounge, Bjn Group, Bangalore

You can find us over at Nagendra Block, right in the S.B.M. Colony area of Bangalore. We’ve got this spot called Vaayu, which is a Sky Lounge under the Bjn Group. It’s at 38/31 on 3rd Main. The location is pretty decent, though parking around here can be a real headache if you come at the wrong time of day. We spend a lot of time getting the place ready before people show up in the evenings. It’s a lot of lifting chairs, checking the kitchen supplies, and making sure the lights actually work. We aren't one of those places that acts like they're better than everyone else. We’re just a group of people working in the hospitality business, trying to keep the drinks cold and the food coming out on time. The Bangalore weather usually helps out, especially being a lounge, but when it rains suddenly, we all have to run around like crazy to cover things up. It’s hard work, mostly standing on your feet for eight hours or more. We have our regulars who come in and know us by name, which makes the long shifts a bit better. The office side of things is small and cramped, mostly just filing receipts and checking schedules. It’s just our daily life here, trying to keep the place running without too much drama. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just serving food and drinks in a nice spot.
