We’ve been here at the Shivaji Rao Building on Pipeline Road for a while now. It’s a busy spot in T. Dasarahalli, and if you know Bangalore traffic, you know how it gets around here. Our office isn’t anything fancy, just a place where we get the work done. We handle a lot of transport stuff, moving goods from one point to another, mostly making sure things arrive when they’re supposed to. Sometimes the trucks are late because of the rain or road work, which happens more than we’d like. Most of us here have been working together for years. We know the routes well and we know the drivers. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. People drop by the office to check on their shipments or just to talk about some logistics problem they’re having. We try to keep things organized, but on Mondays, it’s always a bit of a mess with everyone calling at once. The building itself is easy to find if you look for the MBA sign nearby—the address is 1757. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Usually, people just find us because they need something moved and they heard we’re reliable enough. We just focus on the daily tasks, making sure the logs are updated and the loaders know what they are doing. It’s practical work, and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening when the last truck leaves our yard and the gate closes for the night.
