V Ravi Prakash

V Ravi Prakash is the name on the door here at 261/1 in Byrappa Block. We are on the 2nd Main in Tyagarajanagar, right in the Panchvati area. If you know where the Sai Mandir is, you can find us pretty easily. The temple is a landmark for everyone around here. You can hear the bells and the music sometimes when the wind blows the right way in the evening. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze on the road, especially when people park their scooters haphazardly. Byrappa Block is an old area with a lot of history in these streets. My space isn’t very big, just a few rooms where we get the work done. I’ve lived in Tyagarajanagar for most of my life, so setting up here made sense. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but they have character and memories. We have an old fan that makes a clicking noise, but it keeps us cool enough when it's humid. Ravi Prakash is me, and I’m usually sitting at the back desk. People come in asking for directions to the Mandir all the time. I don’t mind helping out local folks. It’s a friendly neighborhood where everyone knows everyone. We don’t have a website or any of those modern things. Most people just walk in or call the landline. Panchvati has a lot of trees still. I like to sit outside for a bit. This place is home.
