We are tucked away at 8/1, Balaji Mansion, in the 3rd Phase of JP Nagar. It’s a lively neighborhood with a mix of residential houses and small commercial shops. Balaji Mansion is a modest building, and our office takes up a good part of it. The street outside is usually busy with scooters and people going to the local grocery stores. It’s not the easiest place to find parking, so most of us end up parking a bit further down the road. Inside, the office is divided into several rooms. It feels a bit lived-in, with wires running along the floor and stacks of papers on the desks. We have a small pantry where we keep the kettle and some snacks. The lighting isn't the best, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. It’s a very casual atmosphere; you’ll see people wearing jeans and t-shirts most days. We like being in JP Nagar because there are so many good places to grab a quick lunch nearby. Sometimes we go out as a group, but usually, we just eat at our desks. There’s a certain charm to being in a regular building like Balaji Mansion instead of a sterile office park. It feels like we are part of the daily life of the neighborhood. We just do our work and head home when the sun goes down. There is always someone working late, but that is just how it is.
