Usha Bangles & Gift Centre

We have been sitting here at 2045/A Mission Road for quite a while now. Most people in Vijaya Nagar know us as the place with all the glass bangles in the window. It is not a huge shop, but we try to keep a lot of stuff on the shelves so there is always something to look at. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with the road right there, but we wipe things down every morning before opening up. We mostly have gifts for birthdays or small things for weddings. My sister helps out in the afternoons when it gets busy. There is a specific sound the glass makes when people are looking through the stacks. We don't have a big sign or anything fancy, just the name Usha Bangles & Gift Centre painted on the front. On rainy days, the floor gets a bit muddy because of the foot traffic coming in from the street, but we don't mind much. It is just part of running a shop in this neighborhood. We see the same faces every week, mostly neighbors picking up a last-minute gift or some bangles to match a new outfit they bought. It is a quiet life here. We open early and stay until the sun goes down. Nothing too complicated about it. We just keep the doors open and wait for whoever needs something small and nice for their home or a friend.
