Universal Engineering

Universal Engineering is based in Shed No. 2 at Konappana Agrahara. If you're looking for us, we're at HL No. 224, which is near the Electronic City post off Hosur Road. It’s a typical industrial shed with a high ceiling and concrete floors. We spend most of our time here working on different metal parts and engineering jobs. The area is full of workshops like ours, so there's always the sound of grinding or welding in the air. It’s a bit noisy, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have an office with air conditioning or carpet. We just have a small corner with a table where we keep the invoices and pens. Our hands are usually a bit greasy from the machines, so we don't touch the paperwork more than we have to. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years. We learned the trade by doing it, not by reading books. Electronic City is a busy place, but our little corner in Konappana Agrahara feels like its own world. We keep the doors open to let the air in, even when it’s hot outside. People drop by with a broken part or a drawing, and we see what we can do. No fancy promises, just the work we can actually finish. It's a rough and ready kind of place, but it works.
