Being in the restaurant business means there is never a dull moment. This office is where we handle all the behind-the-scenes stuff that people don't see when they are eating. We deal with suppliers, check on the staff schedules, and try to keep the costs under control. It’s a busy place. There are usually boxes of samples or kitchen equipment sitting in the hallway waiting to be moved. We don't have a fancy corporate dining room here. We mostly just eat at our desks or grab something quick from one of the local spots nearby. Ramagondanahalli has changed a lot since we first started, with more buildings and more people moving in. We have a small group of people who have been with us for a long time, so we all know how the others work. It’s not a perfect system, and things get messy during the holiday seasons when the restaurants are packed. We just try to stay on top of the orders and make sure the kitchens have what they need. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking spreadsheets. We aren't trying to be the biggest restaurant group in India. We just want to run our places well and keep our heads down. It's a living, and we enjoy it.
