Our office is located in Room 345 of Building 12, over in Pantnagar, Ghatkopar East. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how packed it can get. We are right in the middle of it all. It’s a small room, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. There are stacks of papers and folders everywhere because that’s just the nature of freight and logistics. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers and warehouses, trying to figure out where things are and why they aren’t where they’re supposed to be yet. Mumbai traffic is always a topic of conversation here because it affects everything we do. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment is delayed, just waiting for news. It’s not the most glamorous job, and the building we’re in has seen better days, but it’s where we work. We have a small crew, and everyone has to pitch in with everything. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we have to take the stairs, which is quite a workout. We don’t have any big corporate slogans. We just try to keep our heads down and make sure the cargo gets moved from one point to another without getting lost. It’s a lot of tracking numbers and emails. We’ve been in Ghatkopar for a while now and we know the local chai wallahs and the other business owners in the building.
