Uma Novelties And Xerox Centre

Our place is called Uma Novelties And Xerox Centre, and we are situated over in Bhuvaneshwara Nagar, specifically at 270 5th Cross in the 3rd Phase of Banashankari 3rd Stage. Having both the novelties and the Xerox machine keeps us pretty busy. The machine makes a lot of noise, so it’s never really quiet in here. We get a lot of students and office workers coming in to get their papers copied or scanned. While they wait, they usually look around at the small gift items and stationery we keep. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting for their prints. We try to keep the ink filled and the paper stocked, but sometimes the machine acts up right when we need it most. That’s just how it goes with old equipment. On the novelty side, we have all the basic things like pens, small toys, and some household stuff. We’ve been in this part of Banashankari for a good bit of time. It’s a nice neighborhood with lots of families. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. We don't do any big advertising; we just stay open and hope the machine doesn't jam too often. It’s a practical business for a practical area, and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day.
