Hoffman Newyorker Inc.

Hoffman Newyorker Inc. is based out of No. 33 on Ullal Mail Road. It sounds like a big fancy name, but we’re just a regular bunch of people working with industrial machines. Specifically, we deal with stuff for laundries and garment finishing. If you come by, you’ll see some pretty big pieces of equipment sitting around. The workshop isn't exactly a cleanroom; there’s grease and spare parts on the benches. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at customer sites fixing things. Ullal Mail Road has changed a lot since we first set up shop here. It’s gotten a lot busier, which makes getting parts delivered a bit of a headache sometimes. We don't have a receptionist in a suit. Usually, whoever is closest to the door or the phone just picks it up. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know these machines inside and out. It’s a niche business, I guess. Not everyone needs what we have, but the ones who do usually stick with us for years. We just try to keep the machines running so other people can do their jobs. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning till evening. There's always something that needs fixing or an old machine that needs a new part to keep it going for another few years. We like it that way.
