We’ve got our office set up at 1401 Jayanagar, right on the Nava Rasta. It’s a place where we sit down and talk about where people want to go next. Most of the day is spent checking prices for hotels or looking up flight times on the computer. The walls have a few old maps on them, mostly because we like looking at them. It’s a small space, so it gets a bit crowded when more than two or three people come in at once. We’ve been around Jayanagar for a good while, so we know the local crowd and what they usually look for in a holiday. Sometimes things go wrong with a booking, and we have to spend hours on the phone trying to fix it, which isn't fun but it happens. We don’t try to sell people things they don’t need; we just listen to what they have in mind. The traffic outside on Nava Rasta can be pretty loud, especially in the evenings. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the stacks of brochures and emails. It’s a simple setup, nothing like those big fancy agencies you see in malls. We just try to be honest about what a trip might cost and how long it’ll take to get there. It’s mostly about making sure people have their papers in order before they head to the airport.
