Travel Miles

You can find us at J-5 in Malleshwaram on Ram Mandir Road. We’re in Kaveripura, quite close to the Bhima Garden Restaurant. Most people use the restaurant as a landmark to find our small office. Travel Miles is basically just a couple of desks and some computers where we look at flight schedules and train timings all day. The phone rings quite a bit with people asking about visa requirements or why a certain ticket price went up overnight. We spend a lot of time on hold with airlines or trying to figure out the best way to get someone from one place to another without too many layovers. Malleshwaram is an old, busy neighborhood and the road outside is always full of scooters and people walking. It’s nice being near the temple because there’s always some activity going on. We don’t have any big posters or fancy brochures; we mostly just talk to people and write down options on pieces of paper. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to wait for pages to load while the customer sits there. It’s a lot of checking dates and names over and over to make sure there are no mistakes. We’ve been here for a while and most of the regulars just pop in to say hello while they’re out doing their grocery shopping. It keeps us fairly busy throughout the week and into the weekends too.
