Travel India Co

We’re up on the second floor of number 63, which is on 3rd Main, 5th Cross in Chamarajpet. It’s one of the older parts of Bangalore, and we really like the feel and the history of the neighborhood. Travel India Co has been around for a while now, and this office has been our main base for most of that time. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs since there isn't an elevator, but once you’re here, it’s a nice enough place to work. We spend our days looking at travel routes, booking tickets, and trying to find the best ways for people to get around the country. Since we are right in Chamarajpet, we get a lot of locals walking in just to ask a quick question about a train schedule or a bus route. We don't have a big corporate setup with a fancy receptionist or a lobby. It’s just a few desks and a lot of maps and travel guides scattered around the place. The ceiling fans hum all day to keep the heat off while we work. We try to keep things simple and honest with everyone. If a flight is delayed or a hotel is full, we just tell people the truth and try to find another way for them. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and typing on the computer, but we enjoy the rhythm of it. We’ve been in the travel business long enough to know that things rarely go exactly as planned, so we stay ready.
