Our branch is out in Nagao Ki Chawani, over in Shiv Colony. Gangapur City is a busy spot in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, and we see a lot of trucks passing through this way every single day. The ground around here is quite dry and the dust gets into everything if we leave the windows open for more than a few minutes. We have a big space for all the transport paperwork and the drivers who come in to get their logs signed before heading back out on the road. It is a loud environment sometimes with all the engines revving and people shouting across the yard. We have some old wooden desks and chairs that have been here since the Transport Corporation Of India Limited opened this spot. Rajasthan summers are no joke, so we have a couple of large coolers that make a lot of noise but keep the air moving for us. Most of us here have grown up in this part of the state and we know the roads around Gangapur like the back of our hands. We aren't doing anything fancy, just moving things from one place to another and making sure the boxes get where they need to go. There is always a pot of water for anyone who is feeling thirsty. Sometimes the phone lines act up or a truck gets stuck when the monsoon hits, and we just keep at it until the sun goes down.
