We are based over on Millers Road, at number 103. It’s a decent area, though finding parking can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes. We’ve been running Tonga Fashion House from this spot for a while. The building isn't the newest, but it serves us well for what we need. Inside, it’s mostly racks of clothes and people checking labels. We do a lot of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into fashion. It’s not all runways and models; most of it is just making sure the sizes are right and the colors match what was ordered. We have a small team here, and we usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. Some of us have been in the garment industry for decades, while others are just starting out. We try to keep things relaxed but we do get busy when the seasons change. Millers Road has its own rhythm, and we’ve become part of that over the years. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or using fancy titles. Most of the time, the boss is right there on the floor with everyone else, helping to pack boxes or sort through samples. It’s a practical way to run a business. We just focus on the clothes and getting them to the right places at the right time. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We like the neighborhood and the people we meet here.
