Tirumala Srinivasa Residency

Our place is out in Kanakapura Taluk, which is part of Bangalore Rural. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city center, but we like the extra space we have out here near Jakkasandara Post. Being near Sbmjce means we see a lot of students and people associated with the college coming and going. The air is a bit different out here than in the middle of Bangalore. It’s much quieter, mostly. We don’t have fancy signs or anything too flashy to show off. The building is simple and we prefer to keep it that way. We spend our mornings checking on the water supply and making sure the common areas are tidy for everyone. It’s a basic residency, nothing more and nothing less. Most people stay with us because they have business at the college or they're visiting family nearby. We don't have a big staff, so we all end up doing a bit of everything during a shift. One day I might be at the desk and the next I’m helping fix a leaky tap in one of the bathrooms. That's just how we operate. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us. It’s a practical spot for someone who needs a bed for the night without any fuss. The roads out here can be a bit rough after the rain, but that’s just rural life for you. We just try to be helpful when people ask.
