We’ve been here at 149/B on the 9th Main Road in the 3rd Phase of Peenya for quite a while now. If you know this part of the industrial area, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and the noise. Most days we are just busy keeping up with the heat. We deal with thermal stuff mostly, which means there is always something getting welded or some insulation being cut down to size on the shop floor. It’s not a fancy place, just a lot of metal and tools lying around where they shouldn’t be sometimes. The guys usually start early because it gets too hot to think by midday. We just focus on getting the parts right so they do not come back broken later on. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the main road for a bit until it comes back. It's a lot of manual work, really. People come in looking for specific heating elements or just some advice on how to keep their machines from melting down. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. You just walk in past the gate and find someone who isn't too busy to talk. It’s dusty work and our boots are always dirty, but that is just how it is in Peenya. We’ve seen a lot of shops around here open and close, but we just keep doing what we do.
