If you know Indira Nagar, you know how busy 100ft Road gets. Our office is right there at Anand Bhavan, specifically 2005 on the 2nd floor. It’s a great spot because we can see everything happening on the street, though the noise never really stops. We’ve been running Shan Solar Pvt. Ltd. from here for a good amount of time. Working in solar means we spend a lot of time on roofs around Bangalore, but the office is where we handle the planning and the paperwork. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, but it keeps us moving. We have a small team, and most of us have been together since we started. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure the panels arrive on time and that the weather stays clear enough for an install. Indira Nagar has changed a lot since we moved in, with new shops opening every week, but we’re still here doing our thing. Lunch usually involves grabbing something quick from one of the nearby stalls. We don’t have any fancy receptionists or big glass walls, just some desks, computers, and a lot of solar talk. People drop by sometimes to ask if solar is worth it, and we just give them the straight facts based on what we’ve seen working in the city. It’s practical work and we like it that way.
