The Windsor

The Windsor is situated at 278 Guru Nanak Nagar, right on the Delhi Road in Meerut. If you’ve ever driven into Meerut from the Delhi side, you’ve probably passed by our building. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always a lot of dust and noise from the trucks. We’ve been at this address for quite some time. The building is used for different things, mostly as a place for people to stay or hold small gatherings. We don’t have a huge staff, just a few local people who keep the place running. Our days are spent mostly cleaning the rooms, checking the water tanks, and making sure the electricity is working right. It’s a very practical sort of work. We don’t use any fancy management systems; we just write things down and talk to each other to get things done. The lobby isn't very big, and we usually have the radio playing in the background. Sometimes the traffic on Delhi Road gets backed up and it’s all we can hear. We’ve seen a lot of businesses along this road change names or close down, but we’ve managed to keep going. We don’t try to impress anyone with big talk. We just provide a space for people who need it. It’s a straightforward job in a busy part of Meerut, and we’ve been doing it the same way for years now without much fuss.
