The Travel Bazaar

The Travel Bazaar is a small office located at 3-6-435/ F1 in Bangalore. We have been operating out of this space for quite some time now. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have desks for all the staff and stacks of travel documents everywhere. Most of our day is spent on the computer looking at flight schedules and trying to figure out train routes for people. It is a lot of back-and-forth communication. People call us up wanting to go to different places, and we spend the afternoon checking prices. Sometimes the systems are slow, which can be frustrating when you are trying to get a booking done quickly. We don't really do big advertising campaigns. Most of the people who come to us are regulars or friends of regulars. We have maps on the walls and a lot of old brochures that probably need to be updated. It is a noisy office because someone is always on the phone talking to an airline or a hotel. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. The location is okay, though parking can be a bit of a headache for people who drive over. We just focus on getting the tickets right and making sure everyone has their paperwork in order before they leave. It is just a normal travel shop where we work hard and try to stay organized among all the paper.
