The Royal Orchid Hotels

You can find us over at the Royal Orchid Hotels location in Bangalore, specifically at Number 1 on the 5th Main Road. A good way to find the building is to look for Kavitha Photo, as we are right next to it. This is in the Chamrajpet area, which is one of the older and more established parts of the city. It has a different feel than the newer IT hubs, with more traditional buildings and a lot of long-time residents. R. Hema is one of the people here who keeps things moving. The hotel itself is quite well-known in the neighborhood, but from our perspective as the staff, it’s just our daily workplace. We spend a lot of time walking up and down the halls, checking on rooms, and making sure the common areas aren't too messy. Bangalore weather is usually decent, so we don't have to deal with the extreme heat you find elsewhere, but the rain can sometimes make things a bit soggy on the 5th Main Road. We have a mix of regular visitors and people who are just passing through for a night or two. It’s not a fancy life, just the usual work of answering phones, helping with bags, and keeping the place running as best we can. We like being in Chamrajpet because everything we need is just a short walk away. It is just a part of the city we call home.
