The Park Hotel

Our place is over at No 3/J Gayathri Krupa, right behind the Ganesha Temple in Girinagar I Phase. It’s on the 19th Main in the Muneswara Block of Bangalore. It’s a bit of a different spot for a hotel name like The Park Hotel, away from the really crowded parts of the city center. Being near the temple means we hear the bells and the morning prayers sometimes, which is actually quite nice and grounding. The building itself is just a regular Bangalore structure, nothing too over the top. We spend our time making sure the rooms are okay and that people have what they need when they stay. It’s a lot of mundane stuff like changing linens and making sure the plumbing is working right. Girinagar is a bit quieter than Indiranagar or Koramangala, which we like. We have a small staff and we all know each other pretty well. We aren't looking to be some five-star luxury resort with gold taps; we just provide a place for people to stay while they’re in town. Most of our day is spent handling bookings or talking to guests who are just passing through. It's a bit of a walk to the main road, but it’s a good neighborhood to be in. We just keep things simple and try to keep the place tidy for whoever comes through the door.
