The Oterra Hotel, Banglore

The Oterra is located at Plot 43 in Phase 1 of Electronic City, right on the Hosur Road in Bangalore. We have the 24@43 Kitchen here, which is a major part of what we do. Since we are in the middle of the tech hub, we get a lot of office workers coming in at all hours. The kitchen is always on the go because it is open 24 hours. You can imagine it gets pretty hectic in there with the chefs moving around and the smell of food always in the hallways. Hosur Road is a main artery for Bangalore, so there is never a quiet moment outside. The building itself is large and has a lot of rooms to look after. We spend our shifts making sure the guests are checked in and the tables are cleared. It is a lot of physical work, standing on your feet and moving between the lobby and the kitchen. We are not doing anything fancy, just providing food and rooms in a busy part of town. The 560100 area is full of glass buildings, but inside here, it is just about the daily chores of hospitality. We have a lot of different people working here from all over. It is a busy, functional place. If you are coming from the city, you just follow Hosur Road until you hit Phase 1. It’s hard to miss the plot.
