The Oterra (5 Star Luxury Business Hotel)

We work at The Oterra, which is a hotel located near Bellandur Gate. Specifically, we are right by the R.K.I.M.C.S Girls Hostel on Sarjapura Road in Ambalipura. It’s a busy part of Bangalore, especially with all the traffic coming off the main roads during peak hours. Even though it's a big business hotel, the day-to-day work for us is just about making sure rooms are ready and the lobby looks okay. We see a lot of people traveling for work. They usually look pretty tired when they check in after a long flight or a drive through the city. The area around us is always changing with new buildings going up all the time. We have a lot of staff running around to keep things moving. Sometimes the elevators get crowded when there's a big event or a meeting. We try to stay out of the way of the guests while doing our jobs. It’s a big building, so there is always something that needs fixing or cleaning. Bangalore-37 is a fast-growing spot, and we've seen it get more crowded every single year. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just make sure there are clean towels and that the food in the kitchen is ready on time. Working here means you are on your feet most of the shift. We get people from all over the world, which is interesting to see. It’s just a busy hotel life for us.
